There were four key aims of Hitler's foreign policy
1. The expansion of Nazi Ideals through German control or independent Nazi governments
2. To revise the Treaty of Versailles
Created unemployment and inflation, and demanded billion of dollars of reparations.
3. To make the German speaking people unite with the Reich
Austria, the Sudetenland also because of their natural resources.
4. To take Lebensraum (living space) for the Reich with places that have raw materials that are useful for the Reich (Poland and Russia)
Why did Hitler introduce conscription?
Conscription was introduced in March 1935; it was a way for Hitler to have an important force to use for his plans. It provided Germany’s Hitler with ¾ of a million soldiers and a million reservists who worked into public activities during the Four-Year Plans, such as the provision of autobahns to facilitate troop movements. It was also a way to decrease unemployment.
